It was a pleasure to attend Cromer pier open day. The theme was Halloween with spooky costumes pumpkins, there was also a chance to tour the theatre behind the scenes to see how everything works.
Entertainment was available throughout the day, including dancing by the True Motion Dance troupe from North Walsham, choreographed by founder, Kelly Marie Such.
One of the routines featured Michael Jackson’s Thriller. The costumes added to the spectacle and even though the weather was slightly overcast it added to the atmosphere.
It was a delightful bonus to see the talented Haley Moss and Ben lake performing some classical songs. Hayley Moss the soprano and Norwich busker, gained fame by twice singing in front of 27,000 fans at Norwich City FC games last season.
In the same year Hayley sang ‘Time to Say Goodbye’ on the ITV show ‘Tonight at the London Palladium’ hosted by Bradley Walsh.
After their dual performance, I am now also a Benjamin Lake fan. It’s no surprise that Ben was complimented on BBC TV show The Voice by Sir Tom Jones. I hope to see them both perform again soon.
There were activities available in the theatre foyer all afternoon and it was great to catch up with Deb Mountain Lewis
and the team, who always ensure everything runs smoothly
